they went into Iran. SURPRISE!!! The clown show of a press conference did not clear up the matter. Who could have known?
In addition, not one of the hacks called on during this charade asked about the bombing of the girls' school.
It is time that what legitimate press we have ignore these propaganda fests. Real news is being made today. For instance, Sen. Blumenthal said this morning that troops are likely to be deployed to Iraq! Yet this is getting a hundredth of the coverage of Leavitt's BS.
I know it's Katy Tur. But it is also MSNOW. They are one of our best hopes for realistic coverage of this insanity. And you know what? Covering Leavitt is not worth the airtime. If they haven't learned that by now, we're in trouble.

(24,792 posts)So journalists do not and should not analyze the relative truthfulness and importance of what is said. It's the setting that matters most of all when determining newsworthiness. Things have certainly changed since I was a journalist.
