I would like to make a polite request, please.

If you are going to post an article about an event taking place somewhere, please put what city/state/country it may be happening in.
For example:
This event is happening in portland.
Which Portland? Maine? England? Oregon?
Better would be:
This event happening in Portland, Oregon....

With so many towns, cities, and counties sharing names, saying what state or country a town or city is in would be very helpful.
Thanks.

Many/most states have the same names for towns and cities. There is an assumption that we know where events take place. We do not. Especially when its identify is a county. Thank you for taking the time to clarify these events.

The implication is "Well! If you don't know where This Place is . . . "

It's the equivalent here of "What? You don't know what that obscure acronym means?"

The one with the library, if that clarifies things.

Hint: it shouldn’t. There are libraries in Alexandria, Virginia and Alexandria, Louisiana, even if they weren’t associated with Alexander the Great or Egypt.

*I was born in Virginia, by the way.

Excellent suggestion.

Some media sites make you pore through the content, searching for a clue about where something happened. The old What, Where, Who, When seems to have been abandoned.

Thanks for posting.
