One regularly sees these foodstuffs in mess halls and on chow lines on US ships, posts and bases around the world. Good chow is a moral booster for folks doing tough, unglamorous, often dangerous work in uncomfortable places. The work sucks.The pay is terrible at almost every pay grade. I do care, and I want to make sure those artists realize some DUers care, which is why I'm posting this.

The only platform where I see more AI slop than DU has sometimes is X. I've heard that Facebook is really enshittified by AI slop, too, but I don't use Facebook. Bluesky tends to have less AI slop because it tilts liberal and has a lot of real artists who very correctly hate AI slop. As the head of the AFT found out when she foolishly posted AI slop and angered her followers, some of whom felt she'd disqualified herself from leading the union:
