Guess Poverty isn't in the real world anymore. It's imaginary then?

(406 posts)If we were paid fairly, we would not have to prepare ourselves for the ravishings of poverty. There is no reason for so many humans being poor and/or are not making enough to make ends meet. The 1% are too greedy and are taking too much off the top. When we will stand unified to say: enough is enough, already? Give us back what's rightfully ours, you thieves!

GOP senators real world remark about people in poverty draws backlash
Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) faced backlash this week over comments he made about people living below the poverty line.

Ohio Democrats quickly seized on the remarks from Husted, the former Ohio lieutenant governor who joined the Senate in 2025 to fill the seat previously held by Vice President JD Vance.
Democrat Sherrod Brown, who is running against Husted for the Senate seat, responded on X: If anyone doesnt know how the real world works, its Jon Husted.
