(32,934 posts)I think that at my age, it would be a bad idea to get a new dog. I accepted a rescue cat reluctantly. We love him, but my son knows that he has to inherit the kitty if kitty outlives us.
When I walked our late dog on the trail, I cleaned up her poop. I never left it for other people to step in.

(12,090 posts)I no longer have a dog but I sure do see poop from dogs and coyotes when I walk. Flagging it with dump's ugly mug might actually inspire the owner, if a MAGAt to clean up after their dog. As for the coyotes, they're not going to clean up after themselves...they're in charge of the neighborhood and I love them.
