Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat while increasing the power of working-class men.
This technology disrupts humanities-trainedlargely Democraticvoters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters, Karp said in a CNBC interview Thursday. And so these disruptions are gonna disrupt every aspect of our society. And to make this work, we have to come to an agreement of what it is were going to do with the technology; how are we gonna explain to people who are likely gonna have less good, and less interesting jobs.
This sounds like a direct, long-term pitch to the GOP from a CEO whose tech firm already has numerous government contracts and is deeply embedded in the Pentagon. Karps message is loud and clear: My technology will take political capital away from one of your greatest enemiesliberal women with degreesand give one of your favorite demographics to patronizeworking-class menmore political power to transfer to you. Hes aligning his technology with both GOP political strategy and the larger male-centered culture war that the right has been waging for the better part of a decade now. And how exactly would his technology only hurt Democrat women?
Karp also made a Patriot Actera argument, justifying his admittedly dangerous technology by claiming that Palantir will allow us to be American in the future.
These technologies are dangerous societally, Karp continued. The only justification you could possibly have would be that if we dont do it, our adversaries will do it. And we will be subject to their rule of law. Why is it that were absorbing the risk of disrupting the very fabric of our society, including the most powerful parts of our society, if its not because its about maintaining our ability to be American in the near term and long term?

Fuck this dude.

I dont think this fucker would prefer lack of civilization, what with so many people with nothing to lose setting out on a quest for that tasty billionaire meat.

(792 posts)I'm convinced that this guy Karp is a psychopath. He's definitely a loose cannon, and is probably far less intelligent than he thinks he is. He really should not be making such consequential decisions about how surveillance technology is deployed by the federal government.

(6,209 posts)We may laugh or scoff at this disgusting nonsense but it is all over the place. Women are viewed as the enemy. We are viewed as natural Democrats. Here is a link to the article in the NY Mag
https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/young-women-leaving-maga-new-right.html
It is terrifying. I also read the an article in the Times about a woman who went to see a young politician in Fl. And this was his incel message: Women are the enemy,
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/12/opinion/james-fishback-gen-z-republican-florida.html
This is not something we should laugh at this needs some action from our leaders. We need everyone to be awake. Hanmaids Tale was a primer for these fools. They are using it as a direct how to manual!!!

Limiting job prospects etc. We need to make this front and center. I feel fascism, racism, sexism all isms are taking over before our very eyes!

(21,356 posts)I know a lot of American working class males and none of them would a) want to knowingly degrade the democratic process for any reason, or b) want their mothers, sisters, daughters or granddaughters to forego education and every possible chance to live better lives than their parents and grand parents.
The noisome ravings of internet incels have convinced these lowlife grifters that "all" men who are not edgelord wannabes will joyfully welcome remaking society to leave people like Epstein and Elon in charge of everything, and they are absolutely wrong about that.
