Trump administration allows for Russian oil sales as energy prices soar

The move is likely to be a boon to Russia as the United States tries to stem the economic fallout from its war on Iran.

The Trump administration on Thursday night temporarily lifted sanctions on Russian oil shipments in an effort to calm markets and stem the economic fallout from its war on Iran, which has sent crude prices spiraling upward.

A general license issued by the Treasury Department allows Russia to begin selling some 128 million barrels of oil that are estimated to have already been loaded onto tankers previously sanctioned by the United States. The license expires after 30 days.

“To increase the global reach of existing supply, @USTreasury is providing a temporary authorization to permit countries to purchase Russian oil currently stranded at sea,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent posted Thursday night on X. “The temporary increase in oil prices is a short-term and temporary disruption that will result in a massive benefit to our nation and economy in the long-term.”

that after Krasnov spoke with Putin for an hour several days ago that Putin ordered Krasnov to remove sanctions on Russian oil.

Putin's puppet is giving him money to keep his Ukraine war going, giving him skyrocketing oil prices and giving him markets for his oil.

I'm sure the MSM will be all over this. Shit, I bet this only gets a couple hits here.

Krasnov is owned by Putin and Bibi and the fossil fuel industry.

I keep waiting for the fumbling, obvious queue for Elon, Ford and Chevy to enter during Act 2 to miraculously save us from oil, subsidized by the government.... Wouldn't that put a bow on it?

Krasnov gave them public lands and water to drill on, he attacked clean energy gutting many projects, he eliminated fuel emission standards.

Maybe if a Democrat ever becomes president again he should nationalize the oil and gas industries?
