Given that we now have a very pissed off Iran. A nation state, with significant nation state power and capabilities. And Mar-a-lardo isn't known for its security. The US security apparatus can only do so much with a moron who insists on being very hard to secure.

Justice matters.

Of course he's not paying a dime for the extra expenses... that's what the national debt is for for Republicans.

Not only is the Iranian regime pissed as hell, they're facing a real, existential threat. People tend to do crazy shit when they feel they've got nothing to lose. That's the problem with ultimatums. They don't give either side much room to maneuver. That's very dangerous.

any point than about 3/4 of a mile. It originally sat next to Lake Worth on the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, but the lake was transformed into an inland waterway. So that means the Coast Guard must patrol both the waterway and the Atlantic sides of the island.

History of Palm Beach -- the island, not the city, is interesting. According to my copy of Roosevelt's WPA (Works Projects Administration) guidebook to Florida -- Palm Beach "has no Negro settlement, and Negroes are not allowed on the streets after dark, unless actively employed in the city."

It is a rarified atmosphere. Only for the fittest-of-the-fit like Donald J. Trump.

Donald Trump and Benjamin Nuttyyahoo are illegally attacking a sovereign country as a distraction to their crimes and a complicit US military is following unlawful, un-Constitutional orders when legal authorization has not been given by Congress. What we are witnessing - the assassination and kidnapping of leaders of sovereign countries and the bombing of infrastructure - doesn't remotely fall under "Limited military action" as authorized by TWPA.

Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth and the generals who obeyed commands to launch missiles which destroyed a school are guilty of war crimes and must be held accountable for these unlawful acts.

The god damned media is engaged in a mind fuck of US viewers with agit-prop nonsense and have completely abandoned the discussion of the fact that what Trump is doing is unlawful and un-Constitutional.

But the country is not actually at war.

PINO:

President In Name Only

Yes, he can declare senseless war, exact damage and humiliation on his perceived enemies and turn the country upside down (for now) BUT . . .

He is acting in his own self-interest, greed and demented appetites. He has no sense of public service, likely sees all those who do as suckers and losers. He is the end product of gross inequality, hubris, arrogance and the worship of wealth and celebrityhood.

His only call to service is to his "paying customers." It's all he knows and cares about. Do his paying customers care about the man? No. Because they are of the same ilk. They care only about what they can wring from his shriveled carcass. Same goes for all those working for him kissing his piggy toes and ass. They've been drawn to the darkness and refuse to escape.

This moment will end. When it does, beyond the celebration, there will be retribution, searing screams for justice.

Because what this man and his Flying Monkey Brigade have done, here and throughout the world, is obscene. They know it which is why they're desperate to hang onto power.

They know what they've done. They know what's coming.

There once was a Chief from D.C.,
In a war thick as bad LSD.
While the briefings screamed “FIRE!”
He said, “Gas up the flyer—
There’s a members-only tee time for me.”

The Situation Room buzzed like a hive,
With colonels on caffeine till five.
But the Boss hit the jet,
With a donor-list set,
To a club where the martinis survive.

The pundits were pale in the press,
Maps bleeding with arrows and stress.
But the Prez took a swing
At the whole bloody thing—
Said the greens in the south were “the best.”

In D.C. the alarms rang like sin,
War briefings stacked up to the chin.
Yet the motorcade roared,
To the runway it soared—
“Charge the members to watch me win.”

There once was a weekend escape,
While the nation chewed fear like a grape.
He’d shake hands with the rich,
On a sun-blasted pitch,
Where the cocktails come tall as the drapes.

So the war room kept grinding its gears,
Full of whispers and satellite fears.
But the Boss chased the sun,
With the paying-guest fun,
And a driver that rang in their ears.
