That was disturbing!

After Bessent was called away from his interview to speak with Trump in the situation room he looked like he got hit by a semi. He was stuttering so bad he could barely form a coherent sentence. Are they getting ready to send in ground troops? Or drop nukes?

If he was frazzled, maybe Trump demanded he do something illegal like transferring money from other departments to cover the billion dollars a day we are pissing away on the war.

Or maybe his shoes were just uncomfortable.

to serve and that he absolutely trusts Trump, Hegseth, et al with his sons life. It was just all very bizarre but you are right, Trump is probably looking to gut the treasury to keep World War Trumpstein going.

But back to the idea of Trump forcing him to do illegal acts, anybody with any intelligence can see that Trump is deeply unpopular. Bessent is protected from prosecution only as long as Trump is President. There is no guarantee that a Dem will win in 2028, or that a winning Dem will allow prosecution of these treasonous acts. But a normal person would be giving some serious thought whether he is willing to go to prison for a pig who will probably be dead by then anyway.

I am not convinced anybody in this regime believes the law will ever touch them, so my theory is not very likely.
