(11,719 posts)I want to be clear about this, I admire Leonardo. It's not a crush and it would be neat to meet him and have a conversation with him.
I keep tabs on his donations to Democratic campaigns and PAC's. He contributes colossal donations for the Democratic Party, funds that quite a few of us couldn't give.
He lost his home in the L.A fires. Then he donated some serious funds to the L.A wild fire relief as well.
I didn't want to high-jack your thread, True. I guess I'd rather talk about Leo instead of TSF.

(11,719 posts)Do you ever wonder where this particular talking point originates from? Hint: From the same group that claimed that Hillary Clinton had a child sex ring operation in a basement of a pizza joint and that immigrants are eating the cats and dogs.
I know that the print from the Federal Election Commission that I took a screenshot of is impossible to read. I've attempted to make it larger but the image hosting site crams the print so I apologize for that, it's beyond my control.

All donations to the Democratic Party on this screenshot are from Leonardo DiCaprio and all dated on 10-18-24. If the small print isn't too terrible to read, check out the $90,000.00 donation amount for the Harris Victory Fund PAC.
Leo's been donating funds to our party for years. His dating preferences shouldn't matter unless it's illegal and or abusive, then it should be tar and feather time for sure.

(26,438 posts)Maybe it was done without a lot of thought because he's in a lot of memes. This one makes the rounds a lot:

But, you're right, because it is Leo, he can afford the dinner, no matter the price. And we would have to presume that his dinner date is 25 years old or younger.
Niagara
(11,719 posts)As far as I know all his relationships are of consenting age, he's never had to pay anyone for their "silence" and he's never been accused of sexual assault or sexual abuse.
I believe that the nit picking of his 25 age bracket preferences is retaliation for his Democratic causes, but who really knows. We all have preferences and we all have a "type".
True Dough
(26,438 posts)Just that he's well-known for dating much younger ladies. But that's true of many Hollywood men, and men outside of Hollywood, for that matter.
Niagara
(11,719 posts)Whenever anyone brings up his age preferences, this is always my reply regarding this.
It's true for many Hollywood couples.
Even Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor have quite a bit of an age gap. They make it work!

(22,104 posts)Old marketing trick. It works better if you turn off your higher brain functions, i.e., don't ask questions, just go with it.
I can't seem to find that off switch anywhere so I'm hard to market to. You're probably the same as me.

(37,467 posts)I just make it my hobby to save money.
Ive reached one goal, I manage to pay no interest only to get interest. Just bought a new Honda-c-rv and paid cash for it. In 1982 I made my last car payment and then kept that car and put away those payments for the next one. Then I went on and did the same with my house. In my third house Ive paid cash for.
Mostly able to do this because I never had children. Also. When I die my carbon footprint ends.
