I'm sorry:

I hate this administration with a searing heat and fire like nothing I have ever felt domestically and believe that this “excursion” (sic) is poorly planned, executed on the fly, and was beyond ill-conceived. I am both outraged and afraid because the incompetence of the political leadership is manifest in spades.

But…and there’s always a but…. I just watched Ayman Mohyeldin interview the Iranian.foreign minister, an individual who can easily and with a straight face rationalize and lie about their leadership murdering up to 30,000 protestors recently and countless numbers of individuals before this. The word “softball” does not begin to describe his questioning, nodding much of the time while this sociopath spouts a combination of half-truths and nonsensical pleas of innocence.

We know that Ayman, born the year of the Iranian Revolution, despises Israel, no matter who its leader is and has always slanted coverage. Yes, I’m an ardent Zionist, extremely upset and disappointed in Netanyahu both politically and personally -I was acquainted with him when he was in Cheltenham, PA and was in high school with friends of mine - and am very concerned in all axes with respect to the future of Israel as well as the safety of my fellow Jews in the United States.

But these Iranians are no victims, no heroes. They have been sponsoring worldwide terror for 47 years and enough is enough. What is unfortunate is that the worst individual who has ever been entrusted with the safety and the future of US citizens is presently occupying the literal seat of power. The October 7 attacks in Israel gave Netenyahu the excuse to go scorched earth in the Mideast and this fool in the White House seems to have figured a way of literally profiting from this ill-conceived “excursion”. It could and should have been handled, if at all, with a real battle plan. There is none.

But to my point, Ayman on MS NOW who hates Trump, utilized the “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” methodology and strategy.

No, Ayman, he ain’t your friend.

Only thing that ends war without end is a peace that is stronger than hate.

What stops hate? Love. To get there requires Respect.

And in several senses you’re right. Now only recently have the opposing forces begun to call the nation “Israel” rather than “the Zionist entity”. Respect? Maybe.

9. War and Terror create hate faster than good people can process and defuse in peace.

The people of Israel — and the people of Iran — have every right in the world to defend themselves from those who would kill or cause them harm.

I’m saying war, terror, violence and the hatreds they engender will only build, unless we learn to respect one another, first as enemies, then as opponents, then as competitors, then as neighboring rival…with the idea of, one day, becoming friends.

Without that respect, the only process that leads to peace will be lost. And the alternative, death, leaves the survivors lonely for those they’ve lost.

Take Benjamin Netanyahu: Bibi misses his brother, Yoni, who died leading the rescue at Entebbe in 1976. Losing a brother to hate would make my heart hate those responsible, too. What I’m trying to communicate is that we must stop our hate from controlling our actions.

All the oil in the world won’t bring him back, nor will it bring back the schoolgirls killed by Trump’s attack. The only thing we can do is stop the killing now — while we can — and do all we can to build a better future for the world’s children.

11. It traces back to November 22, 1963

November 13, 1961, we had hope — a wounded war veteran President understood the power of peace:

A meaningful performance. The Spanish cellist Pablo Casals headlined the 1961 state dinner that the Kennedys held for Luis Muñoz Marín, the governor of Puerto Rico. Casals lived in Puerto Rico at the time because he opposed the dictatorship in Spain. One of the songs he performed, “Song of the Birds,” is a Catalan Christmas carol that, according to the Kennedy Presidential Library, symbolized Spain as well as Casals’ feelings for hope and freedom.

Now, for generations, the nation has been mostly led, if not run, by presidents who believe, “Money trumps peace.”

4. I've never liked Ayman Moyheldin much. He's often taken extreme positions on Middle East issues.

But as you say, the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend, so you have to choose wisely and not by knee-jerking. Loathing Trump doesn't mean one is obligated to support Iran, which has been a sponsor of terrorism for decades. Trump tore up the JCPOA which restricted Iran's nuclear program, probably because it was negotiated by Obama, and is using the lack of restrictions on Iran's nukes as an excuse to go to war, urged on by Netanyahu for his own purposes (like staying out of jail). I don't think it's difficult in the least to be appalled by Trump, Netanyahu and Iran all at the same time. We've got ourselves into another quagmire because we have shitty leaders, and Iran being Iran - that is to say, a country also run by incorrigible assholes - it won't end well, or soon.

But they are not automatically my friend or even always useful. Sometimes they are both enemies.
Because they can join forces too.
Pays to be wary of everyone until good intentions can be verified.

is still there because he is ultimately a disposable piece who gets ultimate goals done at all costs that no sensible or legal leader ever could- in the minds of many neo-liberal hawks everywhere and money dragons where ever they dwell. At the top it is very simple. Reason has been displaced in all the institutions below. They have even created the dangers they pretend to clean up.

They have zero reason to think any of this will turn out for the best, but they are committed- and should be committed to the jails or looney bins.

Israel was plagued by terrorism. He showed up with an iron fist and incidences diminished dramatically. On 10/7 Holocaust-horrors were perpetrated and that was “it”. No mercy and historically the IDF was as humane as an army could be when faced with lethality of civilization, so this Gaza infrastructure annihilation shocked the world, since there was so much death associated with it. Israel made a statement to all terrorists: you demand 300 Of your folk in exchange for one Israeli prisoner. We can do the equivalent in this direction. Doesn’t feel real good, does it? Think about that prior to your next terrorist act.

All Israeli governments seemed pretty much in line with the big survival picture whatever the approach, and the approach seems to be more consistent than otherwise for very inescapable reasons. Whenever something challenges the response has to be very aggressive, their allies kind of untrustworthy. The current government has developed an endgame response to a changing world that would dump them very naturally. The methods, inculcating villains you can set up, and responding with war crimes and overthrowing the US presidency, while hardball and not supported by all Israelis might in retrospect look very in line with the Christian Nationalist Armageddon spectator sport. Or it might grind on in hard-nosed sensible policies leading everyone to "inevitable" global collapse, if not extinction.

If it is moral and intelligent for undemocratic power brokers, it is utterly wasted on the reality of the situation. Most all humans have no say in it, except to kill each other. We all become terrorists. We all obey.
