...you can read his whole screed here: https://www.ms.now/news/trump-fcc-chair-news-networks-iran-war-coverage
It includes a link to his tweet. I don't want to post the content here because, it is in fact, bullshit.
But this is where we've arrived. The Trump admin demanding that the broadcast networks tell HIS VERSION OF THE STORY or LOSE THEIR LICENCE.

(9,814 posts)Therefore it cannot revoke broadcast licenses for the networks because it does not issue them. The FCC does license individual TV stationns. There are about 2700 individual TV stations in the US. I'd just like to see the FCC try to start pulling their licenses.

(46,123 posts)Most individual stations in the larger markets are owned by companies that are already suck ups to Trump, like Sinclair. And as for the network owned stations, there is zero chance Carr would go after stations owned by Fox or CBS. That leaves stations owned by ABC or NBC in markets like NYC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston etc. And those licenses don't come up for renewal until December 2029 at the earliest, and most not until the end of 2030 or even 2031.
