Trump's AI czar calls for U.S. to 'get out' of war and warns Iran has a 'dead man's switch' that could render Gulf state

states almost uninhabitable

Venture capitalist David Sacks, who is President Donald Trump’s AI and crypto czar, warned of potentially catastrophic consequences if the U.S.-Israel war on Iran continues.

In an episode of the All-In podcast on Friday, he said “we should probably find the off-ramp,” noting Iran’s military has been devastated.

“This is a good time to declare victory and get out, and that is clearly what the markets would like to see,” Sacks added.

But he said there’s a faction within the Republican Party and elsewhere who wants to escalate the war, send in ground troops, and seek regime change.

With apologies to DUer SocialDemocrat61.. I have Unoriginal parrot mimicry rights! If all those tech bros can steal things, so can I!

Shevat thought Sacks seemed bored — he spent most of the meeting checking his phone. “He didn’t want to understand anything,” Shevat says. It made him want to cry, especially since he had actually been eager to work with Musk. “I would have worked really hard for him,” he says.

Most of that piece is the usual self-important Si Valley puffery over a silly damn platform..this is why those guys are unfit for any reality outside the web. DU/pubmed/physics stack exchange/a few journal and magazine aside and a few uni etc websites, the web is all humbug..bah
Those lamebrains in Si Valley..”democritization” is it? I will give them some “democritization” and see how they like it..

I never thought much of Twitter so whatever, but what is scary is this time it is the federal govt. I reread that article in 2025 and thought the timeline in it now probably roughly applies to all the US govt and with cascading goddamn effects worldwide. Is Nist even there?
The DOGE depositions are surely only the tip of the iceberg 😳.

With continued zero real accountability..

its importance to the world as a crude oil source and export centre.

It has been expecting initiation of hostilities by Israel backed up by the US and were well prepared to respond.

Trump on the other hand, expected them to cave in as soon as he said 'BOOOO!' and now doesn't know what to do in the current situation.
