Wisconsin · 2h While it's preferred you stay home today, if you must travel: ✅

here is mid WI--schools closed. I have only seen snow plows on the busy Hwy out my door

But am hopeful for SPRING which will be here officially in four days--MARCH 20, 2026

While it's preferred you stay home today, if you must travel:

✅ Check http://511wi.gov
for road conditions.
✅ Clear snow and ice from your vehicle.
✅ Tell others where you are going .
✅ Be extra cautious while driving and increase following distance.

It wasn't too bad in the city, at least if you didn't have to drive any distance - not quite the apocalyptic event some weather people on TV were predicting. Once the wind settles down this evening things should get back to normal pretty fast. WI seems to be getting it harder, though. I have relatives in Door County, and it looks like you can't get around there at all. It must be wild up the peninsula in the small towns like Fish Creek.
