Are they are so weak that they can't even stay on top of their own reporting? Or did they not get all of the eyeballs they expected?

FTN, which used to actually be "something" by journalistic standards, is the only show that I even try to follow there.

Now that they have adopted the word "homeland" to sub for the United States of America, even that is subject to change. That occurred during Brennan's intro. I came close to shutting it off then. (Margaret needs a new gig, or she must be MAGA.)

What's See BS trying to accomplish with this article because it sure isn't about breaking news?

Over time, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, I observed that virtually EVERYTHING that they report and broadcast, including commercial breaks, is a commercial for their own coverage and nothing new or interesting.

More proof that irony is not only dead, it has liquefied.

How the mighty have fallen. They qualify as a reliable messenger for the regime but definitely not as news. Sad.

They do continue to lead in "entertainment," and their viewership with the 25–54 demographic is expanding for them.

From conception in 1927 to the first news reports in 1951 to now they have proven that they're in it for the long game. More mergers and changes are on the horizon.

A lot can happen in almost a hundred years and in fifty-eight years it will be 2084. Just think about what their future holds if the Christian Nationalism trend continues, the oligarchs get their way, and the USA continues to march to the current drumbeat of authoritarianism.

Perhaps something we can consider are the words of Margaret Brennan herself,

During a February 2025 episode of Face the Nation in an interview with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Brennan criticized Vice President of the United States JD Vance’s speech at the Munich Security Conference in Germany; Brennan claimed: "he was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide."[27]***

They are perfectly positioned to expand their role as the opiate of the masses. That's something that we should all be thinking about.

The hypnotized rarely make effective, democracy bound, aware, and engaged voters. Is that what we want for America's future?
