Rich Guy Up On The Hill -- Irish vs American Perspective
Stayed in London years back with an Irish friend who teaches challenged youth. A joke he told me sums up the US vs Irish differences nicely:
The American guy looks up at the expansive home and grounds of the rich guy on the hill and says, brightly, "Some day I will go up there and live like he does!"
The Irish guy looks up there and says, gritting teeth, "Some day I will go up there...and kick that b@stard's arse!"
