OK, yesterday on DU I predicted CBS News Trump fangirl Bari Weiss would find a sacrificial lamb. Today, meet that lamb.

A top producer at "CBS Evening News" may be on her way out as the network's high-profile MAGA-friendly reboot under editor in chief Bari Weiss continues to hemorrhage viewers, according to insiders cited by the New York Post.

Executive producer Kim Harvey has overseen the nightly broadcast since August, and sources told the Post she may ultimately take the fall if ratings fail to rebound. Viewership sunk to 3.8 million for the week ending March 13, a new low for the Weiss-engineered overhaul.

Weiss, a prominent conservative media figure who took the network's helm in October, installed anchor Tony Dokoupil in January, replacing co-anchors John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois in a move widely seen as a rightward editorial shift. Dokoupil's debut drew 4.4 million viewers and has since steadily declined.

“It’s pretty terrible. Once you’re under 4 million, you’ve got to be worried that you’re in a death spiral,” one CBS insider told the Post. “If they can’t retain an audience in the middle of a war, God help you when the war ends."

put a Nazi in charge of it, and put a Nazi anchor on the air, then scapegoat someone else for low ratings.

Chris Licht became the sacrificial lamb at CNN after the "Trump Town Hall" debacle.

But the truth of the matter is that Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav and his pal John Malone are both radical right billionaires and Rupert Murdoch wannabes who orchestrated the Trump Town Hall, and the channel's overall swing to the right with more Republicans spouting talking points unchallenged and a sick fixation with "whataboutism."

The only power Licht ever had at CNN was the power Zaslav and Malone gave him. He was a puppet, they held the strings.

So they dumped Licht and only made the channel worse.

I expect Weiss to do the same at CBS.

but I did watch 60 Minutes this past Sunday night for the two segments on the Middle East war.
I normally only watch CNN on Sunday morning for Fareed Zakaria but lately I've been watching Ali Velshi instead. Now that he's on in primetime, I'll probably catch a Fareed now and then, if events warrant it.

...things like Miller going off on a rant and getting cut off and then going ballistic over being cut off, and I'm thinking "WHY do you have him on at all," and the answer is...Zaslav and Malone.

I've posted on here a couple of times last week a series of CBS fluff pieces that highlighted California for having the same problems that other states have - as if the problem was worse in Cali than any other state. It's a psyops to impugn blue states in the run up to the next election.

Bari Weiss can get fucked.
