Katy Tur out at MSNow??

If so, I welcome it. There were some other changes published in variety but it didn’t say anything about Katy.

https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/ms-now-shake-up-ali-velshi-11th-hour-morning-joe-daytime-1236692201/
Veteran Ali Velshi, who has long hosted weekend hours, will move to “The 11th Hour,” the network’s last original show of the programming day. The current anchor, Stephanie Ruhle, will take up a two-hour mid-morning program that starts at 9 a.m. — the result of MS NOW mainstay “Morning Joe” ceding that time slot and returning to a three-hours-per-weekday schedule. Chris Hayes’ “All In” will return to Mondays, where it had been pre-empted by a two-hour block of “The Weeknight.”

I thought they said that Michael Steele and Simone Sanders would remain and be joined by Luke Russert.

At least that what I thought they said earlier today or did I hear that wrongly?

The same Entertainment Now link gives the correct info earlier in the article.

Meanwhile, the noon to 2 p.m. Eastern slot, Deadline reported, will be anchored by Alicia Menendez, who has been co-hosting “The Weeknight” with Symone Sanders Townsend and Michael Steele, which replaced “The ReidOut” after Joy Reid was let go in February 2025. Menendez will be replaced on “The Weeknight” by frequent fill-in Luke Russert.

He has deserved a prime time slot for a long time…this means he will be part of election night coverage (I think he’s been doing Kornacki duty since SK moved exclusively to NBC)

Wait…Velshi is doing TWO shows every night?

On Mondays, “The Weeknight” will only air one hour instead of two, because Chris Hayes will return to the 8 p.m. Eastern slot after cutting back his hours in 2023, per THR.

She's also an ally of Democrats. But she's a journalist, not a spokesperson. I think the people here who dislike her are placing unfair expectations on her.

Look at how *actual* reputable foreign journalists report on this administration, or the questions they ask the few times they get to ask them.
