It should be noted that

the mayor is the same guy in both Jaws and Jaws 2. Just a reminder that voting in local elections is very important.

He exuded gravitas as the mayor who put seasonal tourism revenues above the safety of the beach swimmers.

My favorite role of his was that of the lookout on the Ferris wheel in the movie "1941" which was directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 1980.
