Notice how when three or four women accuse Cesar Chavez of rape and

pedophilia the left immediately acknowledges them and multiple municipalities begin the process of removing his name from public sites. But long after Trump is accused by 30 women of rape and sexual misconduct, after a tape of him bragging about molesting women is played repeatedly on national media, after he is adjudicated to be guilty of sexual assault in a court of law, after he is accused in a sworn statement to the FBI for having raped the accuser when she was a thirteen year old girl, after his name appears over a million times in the emails and records of a globally known pedophile and child sex trafficker — the Republicans name an airport after him.

Let's define the new trump gold plated coin "a raper" like we do with penny, dime, quarter.

There are no alternate facts to rape don't you know.

For some reason, we seem to need to attach names to what are really broad grassroots causes. It should be Farm Workers Day or UFW Hall, etc.

I guess there might be some schools and so forth that have a name on them, but it seems to me that part of what's going on is that we have this need to idolize individuals over the cause they represent. And most individuals aren't perfect.

People are so anxious to have a charismatic candidate they often don't even care if they're qualified! In the meantime, the meat and bones of the party or the cause or whatever are rarely discussed. I know I blather on about the Democratic party platform being ignored at the convention, but I really believe this need for rock star candidates is bogging us down.

of hero-worshipers going on about how that person should be our candidate for POTUS. It is lazy, annoying and pretty naive.

You hit the nail on the head "People are so anxious to have a charismatic candidate they often don't even care if they're qualified!"

Good DEM candidates tend to be well rounded, well versed in the issues facing the nation, and possessed of resumes showing a variety of experiences that build into a career that holds up qualifications and demonstrates temperament, judgement, and common sense. Then have to be team builders, able to draw good people with specialized knowledge and skills to cover ALL the departments of the executive branch, and they have to be comfortable enough to trust the experts they appoint.

Grasping at the latest clever pundit isn't gonna give us that candidate.

Ignoring those necessary qualifications and going for someone who says what people want to hear is how the GOP ended up with the worst president this nation has ever been saddled with.

... that the Republican Party has, indeed, metastasized into a terrorist organization with the moral compass of a pack of rabid hyenas.
They are filth, and they should be treated the same way that Germany treated the Nazi Party after WWII. Banned from existence for all eternity.
It's worth noting that the Founding Fathers loathed the very thought of political parties existing at all. Sadly, that's one concept that didn't take. And look at us now.

The news is GLEEFULLY reporting this story!

Allegedly: A term used when something is said to be true but has not been confirmed or substantiated. Used to describe a person who has been charged with a crime, though a final decision has not been reached by a court.

There is more evidence of wrongdoing from chump!

I am defending nothing except the rule of law.

Meanwhile a convicted sexual abuser is president.

Thu Mar 19, 2026, 09:51 PM

They spent 5 years investigating claims of sexual abuse by Chavez.
They interviewed 60 people.
They got 3 women to go on record, by name, including the famous and respected Dolores Huerta.
They got family members to confirm that 2 victims told the relatives at the time that they were raped or molested by Chavez around ages 13 to 15.
They pored through emails and other correspondence.
They obtained DNA evidence proving Chavez had fathered several children out of wedlock.

If the FBI had investigated even a fraction of the most serious claims against Trump and had the Justice Dept. been willing to file charges, he would be in prison today, not the White House. Instead, they turned a blind eye and actively covered up evidence, as did Pam Bondi when she was in Florida sweeping Epstein's crimes under the rug. They didn't even go after other men who raped children on Epstein's island. At least Britain and some corporations and schools are making efforts to hold people accountable who cavorted with Epstein, but not the U.S. Justice Dept., which has lost all credibility.

I suppose the only accountability most of those pedophiles will have will happen in hell.
