Russia oil tanker on its way to Cuba.

The Anatoly Kolodkin, a Russian state-owned vessel under US sanctions and carrying roughly 730,000 barrels of crude, is on its way to Cuba. Defying Trump, if it docks there, the shipment would give the island a month’s worth of badly needed fuel.

Stop this madness !

The PedoPrez will say that they never docked, or they docked and didn’t unload, or that it was empty or they paid US billions of dollars,

The media will ignore it,

under communist rule. My brother has vacationed there 3 times, as Canadians do, and says it is really true the economy barely exists outside of tourist spots. Basically a restaurant will open to meet a bus full of tourist but will be closed the rest of the day. People have very little. What waiters can exist on two hours a day of pay? I just hope the Cuban-Americans in Florida itching to get back in want it to be a really, really want it to be a real Democracy. Unfortunately I think most of them vote for Trump.

They were powerful, wealthy lords treating most Cubans like serfs. They loved the corruption because they were its beneficiaries. They don’t want Democracy. They want their domains back.
They have no intention of building a new, equitable Cuba.

If the US dropped its embargoes and just let it develop a little prosperity the last vestiges of Communism would disappear and an egalitarian society would have a chance to emerge. Fidel attempted rapprochement quickly after he came to power. The powerful Miami Cubans, who had been banking their ill gotten gains offshore for generations, nixed that. Late in his life he softened restrictions on personal business. Raul went farther and was willing to do more but had his hands tied by the USs embargo’s and restrictions. Invade and we’ll just have another angry neighbor wit a grudge on our border. So this administration will choose the worst option, as is it’s wont. And the average Cuban will continue to suffer.

I wish someone would set them up with solar, wind, and storage to become independent of imported oil.
