The White House is facing sharp backlash after the U.S. Treasury authorized limited sales of Iranian oil already at sea a move aimed at easing soaring energy prices as President Donald Trumps war with Iran escalates.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described the decision as a narrowly tailored, short-term authorization permitting the sale of Iranian oil currently stranded at sea, Bloombergs Javier Blas reported Friday.
The policy shift less than a month after the U.S. attacked Iran alongside Israel quickly drew outrage from political figures, national security analysts, and journalists.

Gavin Newsom and others have got it right...............you have betrayed those soldiers and families and this country..............you should be impeached today and not tomorrow...............

(1,638 posts)Just throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. No one wanted this stupid war. Theres absolutely no strategy here. These gas prices are destroying the economy. I saw a photo of gas prices in LA for over $8/gallon! This is absolutely going to kill republicans in the midterms if prices arent down by November.
He may as well be throwing ketchup at the wall now.
Oh and fuck that republican senate candidate from Minnesota that dismissed the concerns.
