Prague streets are FULL right now. Up to 400,000 Czechs are rallying against PM BabiÅ¡âs government: pushing a foreign agent law, gutting public media, & shielding him from fraud charges. Theyâve seen what happened in Hungary. Theyâre not waiting to find out what comes next. Democracy fights back. ð¨ð¿

(4,969 posts)scenes of people in the streets of Poland, Czechoslovakia (at the time), Romania and yes, even Hungary. Solidarnosc (Solidarity) https://www.thecollector.com/poland-solidarity-movement/(Polish_trade_union) started it all and it grew. They and others were fighting the world over for freedom from Soviet (Russian) imperial tyranny. Many were fighting and yes, dying. I don't believe for a moment that people have forgotten the horrible conditions of life under tyrannical rule. Maybe they've grown comfortable but somewhere in their souls they remember and never again want to experience those chains locked around their ankles. The final nail in the coffin for Russian imperialism needs to be forged. This scene from Czechia is very encouraging.
On Edit: I changed the Wikipedia link to a different site. The Wiki link wasn't working properly.
