Frankly, I tire of the tough talk - because apparently, that's all it is. I feel like we're all just going through the motions while
our house burns down.

Republicans will shoot down any oversight, impeachment attempts, etc.

What actual options are open to Democrats, prior to the midterms?

"IF" we get a sufficient number of seats in Congress AFTER the Midterms, I would expect the tough talk to turn into immediate action.

That means no Gerald Ford let's put this behind us so we can heal bullshit.

That means that on January 3, 2027, at high noon, I expect to see articles of impeachment filed.

We won't know until we get there. Yes, tough talk accomplishes nothing, but it's still preferable to fealty and compliance and placing warm wet kisses all over Trump's fat ass, like the Republicans.

I don't pay close attention, but at one time I counted about 25 congressional dems who were consistently speaking out against this regime, & got little coverage, but as a party? Crickets. This was before Good & Pretti, but I haven't sensed any uptick at all in the party as a whole. Where is the unified democratic voice of outrage about the fascist takeover of our country? I ask my two dem senators that question frequently. Maybe I'm missing it since I tune out the news cuz I get too depressed, but IMO, we have a 5-alarm fire & no one should be able to tune out the opposing party's outrage.

My rep, Joe Neguse is one of the ones who speaks out.
