Bessent really outdoing himself on the Sunday shows this morning

His response to trump saying he is glad Mueller (a Bronze Medal recipient) is dead, was that we should have empathy for trump. Seriously, that was his resoinse.

When asked if the administration would raise taxes for the war, he said that that would not be necessary because they have a trillion dollars. So that begs the questions, why are they asking for 200 billion more?

While it's true that I think the interviewers should push back much harder on this nonsense, I can't help but hope that Bessent continues to be the go to person on cable TV. The soundbites travel all over social media, and no one except maga will buy it. In fact, responses like these will just enrage most Americans.
