I also saw somewhere that it might have been sabotage.

(4,361 posts)that is always an indication of a military organization in disarray. Training and ongoing care and repair are far more critical to military readiness than militant pep talks and more time in the gym!

(27,626 posts)is that, if one of our adversaries reported a lint fire that burned for 30 hours, and that would take the carrier out of action for a year, the default assumption would be that theyre hiding something.

(6,993 posts)I've seen scattershot news reports covering the duration. How it supposedly started. Even the source of the fire seems to be conjecture. I'm not holding my breath for anything definitive from this administration.
I just hope that all injured sailors have a full recovery. But we are stretching our military too thin with no apparent plan at the whim of Trump.
