I don't think this attack on Iran was impulsive. It may have happened faster than they expected,

and they weren't properly prepared; but every move Trump has made (albeit, in a clumsy way,) was to prepare for the possibility of inevitable oil shortages and rare mineral scarcity.

Look at the evidence: He went after the countries he thought were the weakest for specific purposes. Ukraine he tried to bulldoze to get them to hand over their rare minerals. In Venezuela he declared a war against a drug cartel, but he was after the oil and the money. Greenland, it's rare earth. I am more than a bit afraid if it also has to do with a strategic landhold, because at this point I am not convinced that Europe would not turn into his target.

Then, when DOGE was a thing they were trying to move in with the DOME idea over the US and Canada, but that went all to hell because Canada didn't play and no one trusted Musk. And then there was the unthinkable bulldozing of the ballroom, and we all know it's because he's planning to build a bomb shelter for himself. Probably the clearest sign that they ran out of time and had to move quickly was the fact that the construction went no where.

Trump is running out of political runway. His aim was always to subdue Iran for Israel's benefit (and his Gaza redevelopment), but If he can't steal the midterms, he's done.

It might not be a popular thing to say, but the Democratic platform for the midterms must separate our interests from whatever Netanyahu has planned for Iran. Trump, the sloppy errand boy, is using this country's resources to destabilize the world, hoping to earn some advantage over it.

It is mindboggling that this kind of dine and dash approach in business has turned into government policy.

2. I like your position. Perhaps to simplify it: Trump (Putin, richies, etc.) wanted to get cash out

of the US economy as quickly as he could. Loot and escape.

The longer that they can game the legal system and have the backing of the (R) crooks in the SCOTUS and congress the better.

If we allow them to stay in power, there will be no funds secured by the US gov't. Social Security, Medicare, Federal Deposit insurance, US $'s.

Your $s will all be out of the jurisdiction of any future US government.

and death and destruction.

I am so sorry my country somehow (probably corruptly) elected this charlatan and the plutocrats that are perfectly happy to suck the lifeblood out of the US.

4. Correct. Drive down the economy and let the billionaires flush with cash buy everything for pennies on the dollar

6. Just like they did in the 1930s and after they manufactured the 2008/2009 housing crisis.

Lots of billions are being approved and no one seems to be auditing the expenses.
