Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has denied that Iran held talks with the US, saying that Tehrans position on the Strait of Hormuz and conditions for ending the war have not changed.
In comments shared by state news agency IRNA, Baghaei said that messages have been received from some friendly countries regarding the USs request for negotiations to end the war.
Iran responded by giving warnings about the dire consequences of any attack on Irans vital infrastructure, Baghaei said.
As weve been reporting, US President Trump earlier claimed that the US spoke with senior Iranian leaders, and that the Iranians reached out first.

(52,288 posts)How many times has Trump or his Administration claimed that some agreement had been made with a leader of another country, and that leader has come back to say no such conversation ever took place?
Seriously, this is the kind of behavior you would expect to find in a backwater Florida community, but not from someone who sits in the Oval office.
It's vile and cheap, just like Trump.
Could some reporter do the investigative work and document the pattern? It will surely be needed for those who have to write the historical documentary on what went wrong.
