In re: air travel today in USA; World Cup this summer?

Given today's most recent manufactured crisis (ice agents at major US airports), I have to begin thinking about if this continues in any capacity, how much it's going to affect summer travel.

The World Cup games across the USA this summer are financially projected to bring the mini-equivalent of a Super Bowl/Olympics in the way of attendee spending to each of the host cities.... purely through a business lens, what happen to the 'business friendly' republican party?

My uninformed speculation is that some of the likely participating counties in the World Cup are making contingency plans to back out (like the old school Olympic boycotts).

Nothing has changed in this regard.
The Republican party is, and has been, friendly to BIG business. People automatically assume that Republicans are friendly towards any business, large or small. But Republicans really only care about the largest businesses. The type of businesses whose c-suite fly private. And these businesses aren't inconvenienced by long TSA lines. In fact, seeing those long lines probably makes those executives feel even better about their privileged place in society.
I can guarantee you that when Mitt Romney, for instance, destroyed all of those jobs with Bain Capital he didn't care in the slightest about any workers or middle management.
