Landings are brutal, and the target is within both off shore counter battery fire, plus onshore multilayered offensive and defensive positions built up for decades.
This will be a complete disaster, and a situation like this is why kegsbreath ousted many competent flag officers as soon as possible. No push back, but someone to blame.
