William Shatner @WilliamShatnerDuring the first airing of my Star Trek series where a kiss was objectionable; many southern stations pulled the episode & condemned the show. Using todays vernacular it would absolutely be calledwoke DEI crapbecause it went against norms of society for its time. Not a lot seems to have changed.

about more than just The Kiss. All sorts of wokeness went on. But as a society, we aspired to it, or mostly, but now the loudest among us object to it.

Some idiot asked him what he thought of the new woke Star Trek series. And of course everyone replied, Star Trek was woke since day one
