As the agents approached the jail, witness Reid pulled out her cell phone to record the operation, and was immediately ordered to stop, video reviewed by the Journal revealed. She refused, and she was arrested and charged with felony assault and impeding.
However, when agents took Reids phone, placed it inside her bag and put the bag in a government vehicle, it continued to record and captured what Reid characterized as a particularly damning conversation between the arresting agents.
In another part of the recording, agents went back and forth about exactly how Reid, a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital, had assaulted them, the Journals report reads. First, it was a raised knee, then an elbow. The next day, Reid was accused in a criminal complaint of forcefully pushing an agents hand against a cement wall.
Reids recording was submitted as evidence in her trial, where three grand juries ultimately declined to indict her. She was also later acquitted after prosecutors reduced the charge to a misdemeanor.

As Reid tried to impede the transfer, one of the ERO officers pushed her against the wall and told her to stop. Reid continued to struggle and fight with the officer. The FBI agent tried to help the officer control Reid who was flailing her arms and kicking. During Reid's active resistance to being detained, the FBI agent's hand was injured from striking and scraping the cement wall causing lacerations while the FBI agent was assisting ICE ERO officers

(14,237 posts)ICE is poorly screened, trained, and knowledgeable. They seem to be winging it under an overly tough guy facade which escalates quickly due to ego , attitude, and no ability to evaluate or sympathize with their targets (victims). Many times they become instantly hostile with autistic, disabled, fearful people, including children. They have had no sensitivity training and as the result have caused extreme trauma even if the victim is eventually found to be unlawfully detained and released. Tragically, deaths have resulted.
We are hearing that a detention center in Texas is filled with children and many of the girls there are now pregnant so it appears that either ICE is raping those girls or allowing them to be raped by someone else who gains access to them. I think it is reasonable to conclude that boys and young men are being sexually assaulted as well, and all are being detained in inadequate conditions under the threat of terror. Their medical needs are ignored.
These guys may be attracted to become ICE agents because they already have rap sheets and few prospects, but they are also disordered and being put in positions of power is dangerous. There are some who are likely signing up for financial reasons, but then find themselves in a peer group they must get along with. Toxic.
We must not run any agency this way. We must abolish ICE. Many of these guys belong in prisons themselves. We can start over and properly.

(4,171 posts)... of these evil monsters is not a flaw to this regime, it is an attribute that is applauded and encouraged. Just look at the psychotic ghoul running this carnival of cruelty, Stephen Miller. Members of his own family will have nothing to do with him because he's been this way all his life EVIL down to his DNA.

(1,128 posts)Local police should arrest them and forced this bullshit rule that indemnifies them from prosecution into a courtroom challenge.
