'No, judge, our subpoenas for Powell were not vindictive at all.'

WaPo reports a lawyer from Pirro's office admitted to Judge Boasberg in the March 3rd hearing that they didn't really know which statements Powell made to Congress were false. Just that it all seemed fishy.

WaPo reports a lawyer from Pirro's office admitted to Judge Boasberg in the March 3rd hearing that they didn't really know which statements Powell made to Congress were false. Just that it all seemed fishy.

Breaking WaPo:

A top deputy to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro acknowledged in a closed-door hearing this month that the Justice Department did not have evidence of wrongdoing in its criminal investigation of the Federal Reserve over the cost of its building renovations, according to court proceedings.

End snips.

Weaponization 101.

There was some money spent on building renovations years ago. Trump got the facts all twisted, as he does with almost everything. There never was any clear indication of anything even slightly abnormal with those renovations or contracts. But Trump simply turned that into a totally imaginary scenario.

The media rarely challenged Trump on these lies. Maybe that is understandable because he is a vindictive bully. But their reporting should have been factual, and instead, most of them just reported what Trump was saying with no fact checking.

The problem with courts is that both sides have an equal opportunity to present the facts and arguments. There never was anything to any of that.

It really makes one wonder about what is wrong with people like Pirro. Is she such a lush that she really isn't capable of looking at the facts and seeing she is going to get smoked in court? I mean, this was never a close call. Why would anybody do this to their own reputation, even a lousy reputation like Pirro's?
