President Donald Trump's disapproval rating has hit a record high for both his terms in office, a new poll from Fox News shows on Wednesday. The survey reported rising discontent with Trumps handling of Iran and foreign policy, and it followed other recent polling that found sharp partisan divides over the war in Iran.
According to the Fox News poll, Trump's approval rating is 41 percent and his disapproval rating is 59 percent, the latter marking a new high for either of his terms in the Oval Office. For historical context, Fox News compared Trumps standing to former President Barack Obama at a similar point in his second term, when Obama registered 40 percent approval and 53 percent disapproval in March 2014.

(9,037 posts)Some are blatantly partisan, but on the average they reflect a long term trend as to Trump's popularity.
The FOX poll is one of them.
Currently Trump is at -16.8% across all the polls they use in their average; the lowest he's been yet.

Don't get to hung up on the composite average, it's the trend that's important, and the gap between approval and disapproval is widening. You can see how that trend has accelerated since he attacked Iran.

(3,117 posts)I like the Economist composite tracker more. They also have a polling for individual states which I find informative (check out Texas).

(3,117 posts)I do admit that I also follow all the sites, but I like the Economist the best for Trump's numbers.
I like the "Race to the White House" site for Congressional Predictions.
