Pete Hegseth is beyond disgusting as he shows in a prayer he said to troops

He read a prayer he said was first given by a military chaplain to the troops who captured then-President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela.

“Let every round find its mark against the enemies of righteousness and our great nation,” Hegseth prayed during the livestreamed service. “Give them wisdom in every decision, endurance for the trial ahead, unbreakable unity, and overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy.”

“I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed,” he read from the Psalms on Wednesday.

There are quite a few that "pray" for "victory over my enemies", but in the New Testament, we learn that the goal is to one day be in the presence of God. I think it was Jesus who taught that your enemy is that which prevents you from being in God's presence".

The enemy is NOT some Army across the field, or my neighbor. The enemy is that within me that keeps me from my goal. Things like greed, envy, rage, pride, cruelty, apathy, hatred and bloodlust...in other words EVERY FUCKING THING THAT LIVES IN THE HEARTS OF MAGAts.
