A mentally ill senior citizen with a criminal record doing stand-up during wartime. Oh, and he's also the "president."

I think that if you could sit down with someone who lived in the thick of 1930s Germany and survived, and you said something to them about "THOSE must have been INTERESTING times," there's a 50-50 chance you'd get a "FUCK YOU" in reply.

You know the history of that "May you live in interesting times" chestnut, right? It's a blessing and a curse.

The reason I bring this up is that I never found Trump to be "amusing" or "entertaining." I have always seen him as a boorish oaf, a pig, a loud-mouthed asshole, who...until he got into politics...could be easily ignored / dismissed.

But now, Dear God...I'm sitting here thinking about how many threads of sheer lunacy I posted here today, most of them from his "Cabinet Meeting," where he did a sort of stream of consciousness stand-up "comedy" routine that flowed like a leaky bladder.

We're at WAR, one that Trump started by completely ignoring Congressional protocol.

And we know his history of being a 5-time draft dodger with a fake medical diagnosis his father paid for, the guy who would not go to a military cemetery to honor the dead because it was sprinkling that day and it would have gotten his comb-over wet, the guy who called those fallen soldiers suckers and losers, the guy who told us he didn't like John McCain because he prefers soldiers who don't get captured.

None of it's funny, none of it's amusing, just like his ridiculous fucking "moron dance" or the "jazz hands" / "playing an invisible accordion" shit he does while spewing forth his latest torrent of verbal diarrhea.

He's getting incrementally worse with each passing day. And we don't know how far he'll drag this country into an unmitigated disaster, with a price that many aren't willing to pay, but so many people just aren't paying attention or have gone numb or maybe they're part of the 90,000,000 who didn't give enough of a flying fuck about this to vote in November 2024 and played a major role in getting us to this point.

Trump's not "weaving," he's not "riffing," it's not some kind of free-association George Carlin goof. He's just a fucking asshole, a rapist, a felon, a con man, an adulterer, a racist, a pig.

And, he has a little over 1000 days left in his term.

To quote the Dos Eqquis commercial, "Stay thirsty, my friends." Focus on this November. We deserve better than this, but we ARE going to have to FIGHT for it. It's not gonna get handed to us, it's not gonna be a walk in the park. But we have to stay focused and strong and determined and not buying into the troll bullshit of an unwashed drunken scab-ridden sack of pig shit like Steve Bannon.

Focus on what YOU want for TOMORROW, not what this fucking abomination is trying to shove down our throats TODAY.

Agreed – unfortunately, for some bizarre reason, Trump Cult members find him both.

Indeed, it’s a reason Cult members cite as to why they like Trump: they think he’s ‘funny’; he’s ‘not like other politicians’ – it’s often an excuse Cult members use to defend stupid, racist, ignorant things Trump says, Trump is ‘just kidding.’

It illustrates the boorish, childish mentality of Trump supporters.

thoroughly pisses me off.

From yesterday's cabinet meeting, just an unreal montage of senility:

On cognitive tests: “I aced it. I got them all right… President Obama, he wasn't a smart man. I know all about him. He wasn't a smart man. Highly overrated.”

On his post-presidency plans:
“After the presidency, I think I may go to Venezuela and run for president against Delcy. It's an option!”

On the missile allegedly shot at the US base at Diego Garcia:
"They shot the now-famous Ireland [sic]--- the island that the UK was very afraid to give us."
On his “big present” from Iran: “They said to show you the fact that we're real and solid and we're there, we're gonna let you have eight boats of oil. Eight big boats of oil. I think they were Pakistani flagged.” (this 100% did not happen)

When Sec. Burgum told him about oil being brought to America:
“Forget that. When are they gonna do the statue of me?”

On energy prices:
"It's not over, so maybe it'll go up a little bit more. It's all gonna come back down to where it was and probably lower. And my predictions have been right. Trump was right about everything. They have a new hat."

On Iran:
“I'm the opposite of desperate. I don't care. In fact, we have other targets we want to hit!”
On using a mail-in ballot: "I used a mail-in ballot. You know why? Because I'm President of the United States and because of the fact that I'm President of the United States, I did a mail-in ballot."

On the National Guard in DC:
"I never wanna take [the National Guard] out of D.C. I mean, maybe somebody later on will do it, but I never wanna…We see these beautiful, strong people, and they're so nice. They help, they open the doors for people, they carry bags, they pick up paper on the ground."

On the Strait of Hormuz: "The amazing thing is we don't need the Hormuz Strait. We don't need it. We don't need it at all. We have so much oil. Our country is not affected by this."

On pens: "See, this pen right here. This pen is an interesting example. It's the same thing. So this pen is very inexpensive. But it writes well. I like it. But I can't have the pen the way it was. You know what it is. I don't want to give too much publicity but they do treat me well. Sharpie."

25th. Amendment. NOW.
