WASHINGTON, DC: Senator Lindsey Graham was spotted at Walt Disney World in Florida during the ongoing Department of Homeland Security shutdown. Thousands of federal workers have not been paid, and disruptions continue at US airports.
Photos published by TMZ showed Graham at Disney World, including at a character dining spot, during a congressional break. The images surfaced as the shutdown extended into multiple weeks, impacting Transportation Security Administration workers and causing delays at major travel hubs.
The South Carolina senator appeared to be wearing business attire while holding a pink bubble wand toy as he walked through the Tangled area of Magic Kingdom, the tabloid outlet reported.
The South Carolina senator defended his trip to Disney World, telling TMZ he met some friends at the theme park after meeting in South Florida on Friday with Trump official Steve Witkoff and others to talk about the possibility of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel.

(6,820 posts)and holding a pink bubble wand may be the most professional, least harmful act of leadership he's engaged in to date.

(29,367 posts)Graham sucks for many other reasons.
He also was obviously meeting someone -- no ones dresses up like that to be in the parks.

(18,606 posts)It had just opened a few years before. My sainted mother took us alone because my father refused to go; he was a very serious man who hated amusement parks. My brother and I had a great time, but Mom did nothing but complain about the heat and her tired feet. It must be very different these days.

(20,589 posts)Actually wand is offensive. Its not a wand, its a fun implementation device. Oh no. That sounds bad. Its actually a collection of atoms that is perfectly normal for an old man to be carrying around alone at a theme park. Dont draw any conclusions, and dont even mention it at all. That would be weird, and offensive.
"Fun implementation device"
You are a riot.
And for the record I'm laughing AT Lindsay Graham because he's a shit person and I actively wish him ill. I don't care if he was as straight as Markwayne Mullin or as bi as Kristen Sinema.
But yeah, dude is walking around with a wand.
