We need analysis as a nation, and the dark side of human nature, the wilfully ignorant side, seems to have taken hold.

I'm not sure drawing comparisons with Japan and the run up to the Pacific Theater does much but murk things up, and open doors to distraction. But, I do wholeheartedly agree, there will be a reckoning for all this insanity. I'm thinking this time around, no one gets to sit out the crap storm.

Trump has a nuclear bomb fetish and ALWAYS has... he asked his cabinet why they could not just use nukes in his first term. He is nearly dead now, ineligible for any more terms in office (regardless of what he would like) and is more likely to die in prison than as a free man... his final "fuck you" to the world will be to aggressively launch a nuclear attack just so he can go down in history as the first to do the most insane thing imaginable.

This is NOT a hyperbolic take on the current situation, its a logical extension of the last 10 years to its horrific conclusion.
