I approve this message from Chris Van Hollen

Trump is right, we can either pay for "daycare, Medicaid, Medicare all these things", or we can pay for war., he wrote on his official website. He goes on to say that every dollar we spend on this illegal war of choice, is a dollar that could have helped improve life right here at home.

Trump admitted yesterday that he doesn't want to spend on any of those things because he needs the money for his unpopular war. Of course he did that at a private fundraiser, but it's on tape. So the Dems need to literally say this every time a camera is near until election time.

... Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children... This is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from a cross of iron ...

I think the Dems should simplify the language a little and adopt it as their campaign message. I like the way he makes clear that the money for war is coming from the labor of average people.
