It's a MYSTERY! Trump admin court filing "loaded with exclamation points, misplaced caps, multiple adjectives..."

Trump exposed in latest White House East Wing court filing: analysis

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-white-house-2676665160/

He wrote, "The opening pages of the court filing are loaded with exclamation points ('Time is of the essence!'), parenthetical asides, misplaced capital letters ('Almost 400 Million Dollars of private donations'), and multiple adjectives for emphasis ('shocking, unprecedented, and improper injunction') – all rhetorical flourishes of the president's online posts.

"One sentence runs 130 words and covers more than half a page. 'Private donors and American Patriots singlehandedly funded the 300 to 400 Million Dollar project (depending on finishes), which is on budget and ahead of schedule.

"'No taxpayer dollars are being used for the funding of this beautiful, desperately needed, and completely secure (for national security purposes) ballroom,' the filing reads."

It has not been confirmed whether Trump wrote any part of the recent legal filing. The administration has put in new fiscal requests for this year, which include hundreds of millions of dollars for the project.

which is here: https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/73127510/01208837520/national-trust-for-historic-preservation-v-nps/ Why the hell couldn't Raw Story have cited the thing itself instead of forcing readers to dig for it in other sources? That said, the introduction and fact statement, complete with inappropriate capitalizations and exaggerations, do sound like they were written by Piggy himself:

Among other issues, the old East Wing was in very dangerous and poor condition, and totally vulnerable to attack by even the most basic of Military weaponry, but especially now with the new advanced technologies of drones, missiles, much more powerful rifles, and other emerging national-security technologies and threats. The original East Wing has been completely rebuilt, many times over, with columns being knocked down, put back, and then taken out again, a common red brick addition added haphazardly on top of the original very small structure (to the chagrin of many!), and severely damaged during the process of the Military building large Top Secret spaces below the original structure. In other words, the East Wing, prior to demolition, was a completely different building than that which was designed many years ago.

The argument itself was probably written by the lawyers without input from Himself, although that is also ridiculous. Basically, the argument is that the injunction shouldn't have been granted because now there's a big ugly hole on the WH grounds that can't be filled - failing to mention the fact that the big ugly hole is there only because Trump tore down the East Wing without seeking or getting permission.

I believe that is intentional. It wants its readers to rely on its interpretation of things.

I do not like Raw Story as a source. It is a clickbait site that seeks to have you see its paid advertising content.

trump evidently got too bored after the first five pages of this filing.

The Washington Post did not call trump out for the first five pages but noted that these pages were not legal arguments but "closely resembles Trump‘s charged remarks and social media posts about the ballroom"

Trump files emergency appeal to keep building White House ballroom - The Washington Post

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/04/04/trump-ballroom-appeal-emergency/

“Time is of the essence!” Justice Department lawyers wrote, saying that the planned 90,000-square-foot addition to the White House is being designed to defend against “hostile attacks via drones, ballistic missiles, bullets, biohazards” and other potential threats to the president. They also argued that Trump has the authority to build the ballroom, disputing Leon’s ruling that the project requires congressional approval.

The tone of the administration’s 27-page filing — particularly its first five pages — departs from the usual style for federal appellate briefs, which typically focus on legal arguments. Instead, the language closely resembles Trump‘s charged remarks and social media posts about the ballroom, which the president has identified as a personal priority. The appeal invokes the “American Patriots” who have made donations for the project, lists various materials being used to construct it and repeats Trump’s frequent boasts that the project is under budget and ahead of schedule.

“No taxpayer dollars are being used for the funding of this beautiful, desperately needed, and completely secure (for national security purposes) ballroom,” the Justice Department lawyers wrote, defending Trump’s decision to solicit private donations. Leon said that Trump was attempting an “end-run” around Congress by relying on private funding.

Here is another lawyer noting the style of the first couple of pages are written the style of trump's truth social posts

Trump has filed an emergency appeal to keep building his planned White House ballroom, saying it's a matter of national security.

The motion — particularly the first five pages — is unusually written for an appellate brief, and often resembles Trump's Truth Social posts.

I am shocked that any lawyer would sign their name to this filing
