FLORESBERG Breaking News, April 5, 2026
Alive. Hes alive, was chanted by a cheering crowd gathered outside the White House as the F-15E pilot, previously reported dead and now identified as Colonel Netanyahu, approached the Oval Office with visible difficulty. He was received by U.S. President Donald Trump, who had just returned from a brief heart, lung, and liver transplant procedure at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Everyone thought he was dead, said a woman holding a toddler wearing a red MAGA hat. Another person in the crowd added, These were all Iranian lies. Lies. Well, guess what, our eyes arent lying now. Theyre both alive! THEY'RE BOTH ALIVE!
Floresberg correspondents, with access surpassing that of Newsmax, reported live from the scene.

(256,038 posts)The U.S. military rescued a missing American airman deep in enemy territory after an F-15 jet was shot down over Iran Friday. Trump praised the efforts of the combined U.S. forces and said the service member is seriously wounded but will be okay.
Retired U.S. Air Force special operations pilot and combat rescue officer Glenn Ignazio and MS NOW National Security & Intelligence analyst Marc Polymeropoulos join Alex Witt to break down the rescue. - Aired on 04/05/2026.

(2,424 posts)There was a major gun fight with rescuers wounded, none killed. Two (very expensive aircraft modified just for this type of mission) HMC-130J Commando II flew in from Kuwait and landed in Iran. They unloaded two MH-6J Little Bird helicopters which flew with Rangers on board to retreive the missing pilot. A some point(s) there was a major fire fight. The two Commandos, for unknown reasons, were rendered incapable of flight. Three other aircraft flew in to lift out the rescuers. The Commandos and Little Birds (probably because there wasn't time to load them, possibly while under fire) were abandoned and blown up to prevent them from falling into Iranian hands.
It is impossible to overstate the bravery and skill required to make this rescue work. The sad thing is that we should not be at war with Iran and none of these people should have been there to start with.
