United States-Israeli strikes have completely destroyed a synagogue in Tehran, according to Iranian media, as the attacks across Iran killed more than a dozen people overnight.
According to preliminary information, the Rafi-Nia Synagogue
was completely destroyed in this mornings attacks, the Shargh newspaper reported on Tuesday.
According to Irans semi-official Mehr news agency, the synagogue was destroyed when an adjacent residential building in central Tehran was attacked.
Footage showed civil defence workers amid the rubble, with Hebrew-language books scattered on the ground.

(60,236 posts)Considering the source, if it was a domestic revenge action by the regime, it wouldnt surprise me either. We know all too well how much to trust totalitarian media. If it were what is rapidly becoming Ellison-Murdoch News, Id be granting such a report the same amount of credibility. After 45 years of riunning the place, these guys are no amateurs.

(24,809 posts)The Israeli army has admitted it was behind a strike that damaged a synagogue in Tehran earlier today, according to the Times of Israel.
It says it was targeting a senior Iranian commander and that it regretted the collateral damage to the synagogue.
In response to a query by The Times of Israel, the army claimed to have said it struck a top commander from Khatam al-Anbiya, Irans military emergency command.
