Not to mention the war, the economy, the corruption, but look at the mental state of this country.
The people are under stress. They are intimidated by rogue agents of the government. They are stuck with an unstable leader, defended by sycophants, that threatens annihilation of a civilization of people. The American people are uncertain about the future. They do not know if they will be able to vote in the next election? Their rights, guaranteed by the Constitution, are threatened by Trump and the Republicans.
America is not in a good place. The Republicans are in control of every branch of government and they have screwed up royally.
They cannot govern and they refuse to accept reality. The American people do not deserve the trauma of a criminal dictatorship and they feel their lives are under pressure every day these people are in power.

(81,523 posts)I am a firm believer in WE THE PEOPLE.
It is one of the most important concepts in human history.
That all power resides in the masses of humanity, in the regular person.
We can build any kind of society we want.
It is up to us.
But sadly we give all our power away.

(11 posts)This past weekend, the deranged juvenile delinquent currently soiling the Oval Office, Capitol Hill, Americas Constitution and the country itself proved beyond any doubt that he could very soon escalate to NUCLEAR threats if Iran continues to fight back against his unapproved personal war. Trump must GO. Before impeachment, though, it might be more effective for Democrats to (1) Ask VP Vance and Trumps Cabinet members to sign a Formal Intention of 25th-Amendment Removal, (2) Launch that process if enough people comply, or (3) If too many decline, proceed to impeach-- in a single class action-- Trump, Vance, and all Cabinet members who refuse to remove Trump despite his proven, overwhelming unfitness to remain in office. To remove those who refuse to do their Constitutionally mandated jobs. This would be (adapting Trump's favorite hyperbole) a shot "unlike anything the world has ever seen across the corrupt Administrations bow. It would also strongly remind Capitol Hill that Justice is on the way. Regardless of how many patriotic Americans his criminal Administration jails or how many future elections they try to steal, Justice is coming.

(6,530 posts)and the USA is a failed state, due to fundamental flaws in our constitution, which allowed a minority to gain total power.
