How many decades have the Religious Right (both Catholic and Protestant) told girls to not have sex before marriage? Wait to procreate, etc? "Keep an aspirin between your knees," Purity pledges, etc. Well, guess what? Teens aren't having sex now. They're too busy on their phone screens. Boys are listening to the manosphere, where they're given all kinds of bad advice about how to "pick up" girls. Girls aren't having it their bullshit. So yeah, that doesn't lead to much premarital sex.

The other thing is that we have become more aware of sexual behavior towards underage girls that would either pressure them into having sex, or outright being graped by older men. How many pregnancies were caused by girls being graped by a stepfather, brother, or other older man?
