The business school there carries the name Wharton, but only somebody as disreputable as him would say they went to Wharton for a bachelor's degree.
Saying one got their b-school degree from Wharton implies an MBA or and MS (or PhD) in Econ.
It's like Northwestern. People who got a BS or BA in Business Administration from there say Northwestern. MBAs say Kellogg.
Kellogg is on the building, but if you don't have the advanced degree, you don't claim you went to Kellogg.
