How many wounded?

There are US bases surrounding Iran -- in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the like.

We know most/all of these have been hit by Iranian attacks. The only two we have heard about were (1) the "tin shack" where six were killed and "over 20" were wounded, and (2) one of the attacks on the US airbase in Saudi Arabia where several aircraft were destroyed on the ground and 3 wounded (which I don't believe).

I saw one and only one report -- don't remember the source -- that Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, had closed their OB ward and NICU to prepare for an influx of wounded, then saw one report that close to 300 had been evacced to Landstuhl and from there to Stateside military medical centers.

Neither Trump nor Kegbreath has said a word about wounded. Given that our bases are under attack from bombs, missiles, and drones, we should expect a lot of blast injuries, including Traumatic Brain Injuries -- TBI, essentially huge concussions. But not a word about our brave wounded. Has Trump or Kegbreath gone to Walter Reed to pin on Purple Hearts ? (The Purple Heart is awarded only for wonds suffered in combat.)

Why the silence?

I have written to both my Senators (Democrats) and my Representative (MAGAt) with this question.

The US isn't Belarus or Myanmar. Totalitarianism isn't how we roll and polling shows it. It's not in our collective DNA. The problem really isn't the orange moron who lives at or below a 40% approval rating, depending on what he's fucked up lately. It's that we Dems aren't giving the populace a coherent alternative. Being not Trump isn't enough. We need a vision. We haven't been good at that since Obama.

I think the cover up is enormous. The bases were left defenseless and Hegseth knows it. Trump is not a military guy and he is just dumber than a box of rocks, so he had no clue about fortifications and why they are needed. It typically takes months to build up defenses, and they started the war within weeks. They are still shipping DOD equipment on our railroads. Dumb muthers. Sorry, I am not a fan of dipshit don and hogsbreath. They are inept to say the least.

Do I understand there was a mid-air, one KC135 crashed, the other limped to Ben Gurion Airport in Israel with badly damaged vertical stabilizer? How would two tankers get into the same airspace? Did you notice that zoomie vocabulary -- "vertical stabilizer" instead of "tail?"

I'm an old soldier - 1967 - 1995; Vietnam 69-70. 1990-93 I was one of 11 Army guys stationed at Yokota AB Japan, where I learned a little -- two C-130 squadrons, daily C-5's in and out, regular KC135's, mostly from Travis but occasionally one from McGhee-Tyson near Knoxville, TN -- are most KC135 crews ANG?? Yokota had a par 3, 9-hole golf course at the end of the runway and I swear when a C-5 came in, you could hold a putter up at arm's length and damn near touch the landing gear!!

Prior to the three years at Yokota my main contact with AF was talking to FACs and F-4s from the ground in Vietnam where I came to love the smell of napalm morning, noon, and night.

Who controlled the airspace? Was AWACS present? They could have prevented a collision. Did the boom collide with the plane. I'm an ex AWACS crewmember. I am perplexed on this one.

Perhaps the area where the tankers were doing their lazy ovals wasn't secure after all. They are awfully big targets. A mid air drone attack? Our military platforms have max speeds well over 300 mph. And they can be hard to spot. Maybe something in the Iranian arsenal no one's seen yet.

He's been more truthful and forthcoming about sensitive US data than the White House (e.g. the phone calls with Trump that are disclosed by Russian media).

So what's the purpose of giving the wounded any publicity that will detract from his own spurious effulgence?

We've gotten very good at treating and evacuating seriosly wounded soldiers for rapid treatment at a level 1 trauma center..

They're estimating 3:1 for Russia, but they're fighting the next war while we're still fighting the last one.

In the 40 days since the start of Operation Epic Fury against Iran, 13 U.S. service members have been killed and 381 have been wounded, according to data provided Wednesday by U.S. Central Command.

The Defense Department has added the war on Iran to its Defense Casualty Analysis System, a database that catalogues combat casualties dating to World War I.
As of Tuesday, the department listed seven service members as having been killed by enemy fire during the operation, presumably the Army soldiers who died March 1 in Saudi Arabia during an Iranian airstrike.
It also classified six Air Force deaths as “non-hostile,” the crew of a KC-135 refueling aircraft who died while supporting air operations.

And it said that 346 were wounded in action: 231 soldiers, 63 sailors, 33 airmen and 19 Marines.

At least that was as of Tuesday this week, as published in the Military Times, quoting Defense Dept figures.

At keeping secrets.

I don't believe their numbers and if pilots had been rescued where are they?
