The United States couldâve had this, but people chose economic collapse, cruelty and death instead. Iâll never regret voting for Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris.

On April 7, 2026, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum signed a decree establishing the Universal Health Service, aiming to provide free healthcare for 120 million citizens by 2027. The initiative merges Mexicos main public health networks (IMSS, ISSSTE, IMSS-Bienestar), allowing citizens to access any public facility regardless of enrollment status.
Key Details of Sheinbaums Universal Health
Service:
Implementation & Registration: Registration for the Universal Health Credential begins on April 13, 2026, prioritizing citizens aged 85 and older.
Unified Services: The plan merges IMSS, ISSSTE, and IMSS-Bienestar networks.
Timeline: Shared services begin in January 2027, with full operational integration expected before the end of her term in 2030.
National ID Integration: The health credential will eventually function as a national ID starting in 2027.
Digital Access: A mobile application will provide users with access to their medical records and lab results.
Drug Distribution: The plan ensures the purchasing and distribution of necessary medication.

This initiative is part of a broader push to strengthen public services during her administration.

(14,307 posts)we are modeling a long ago "Golden Age" where few had everything and the rest lived in servitude and/or harsh conditions with little recourse and at least one out of three children died.

(7,756 posts)"Pie in the Sky" is often used as an idiom for an unlikely dream, but it is most famously known as a song/poem by activist and songwriter Joe Hill, titled "The Preacher and the Slave" (1911).
"You will eat, bye and bye,
In that glorious land above the sky;
Work and pray, live on hay,
You'll get pie in the sky when you die."

(1,582 posts)There's 1 country north of us with free healthcare. Now there's another one to the south of us. Count em.
That's 2 countries that offer it's citizens free healthcare. Both border the US, the richest country in the WORLD!!! The other borders are water.
Yet we still won't cover healthcare for all of the US citizens?
It's a wonder at all, why some people still want to even come here. To make matters worse, Trump has purposely removed healthcare and food for the less fortunate. Some say it's so Trump can pay and play for his illegal war. It's sickening. I still can't figure out how he is getting by with his lies and BS.
I sure hope that Healthcare for all will be on the next ballot. It's huge this time around. More now than ever.
