Julian Crowley, the head of public affairs for the online food delivery service DoorDash, made dozens of social media posts Monday after critics accused the company of staging a pro-Trump stunt with the delivery of McDonalds food to the White House, a posting spree that MeidasTouchs co-founder Brett Meiselas described as a crash out.
Its kinda hilarious that he thought DoorDash could do a photoshoot with a deeply unpopular president for a stupid policy with a fake employee plant and that nobody would notice, they wrote in a social media post on X to their nearly 60,000 followers.
And Brendan Keefe, the chief investigator for Atlanta News First, questioned why DoorDash felt compelled to use Simmons who lives in Arkansas over a local delivery driver.
They flew her in from Arkansas. By her own account, it was her first time in DC. Put her in a marked DoorDash car with no license plate, Keefe wrote to his more than 44,000 followers on X. It was clearly a staged photo op and an ad for a business but why not use a real door-dasher from the area?

That does not, however, excuse her brainless participation in this.

(3,319 posts)... when I had seen that stunt. I have a steel trap memory when it comes to people and faces.
BTW, I totally stopped going to Chipotle a few years ago, DoorDash runners cutting in front of me, 4 at a time, in the line to order. Sounds petty but, you know...

(4,379 posts)... but everything I mean EVERYTHING a Republican, and Trump especially, does is performative, cheesy, and tasteless. They're human holograms, transparent and totally devoid of substance.
Prezzadint Psychopants can only think in terms of ratings. His are in the toilet, and ain't nobody fishin' 'em out.

(180 posts)She'll be tossed aside and under that Door Dash car. Ill bet she did nothing other than show up in a Door Dash shirt, was handed some McDonald's in a Door Dash bag and handed it to Barron Von Shitzenpantz
