“But the plan would only come after the war and may exclude one country in particular: the U.S.”

But as an adversary at this point. And I don’t think they should change their view due to a democrat being elected either.

I don’t think Europe (or any other region/country for that matter) should trust the US — one more republican back in power resets everything. There’s no consistency.
