Short term pain for long term gain is real

The short term pain of the horrors of the Trump regime will lead to the long term gain of a Democratic blowout in November, regardless of how much they cheat.

It is resulting in the long term gain of what looks like af least half of Trump voters waking up to how badly they have fucked themselves, leading them to either stay home or even cast protest votes for Democrats.

But the price has been too high.

Innocent people murdered in the streets of Minneapolis and elsewhere.

The immeasurable suffering inflicted on the Hispanic and other minority people in this country.

Not to mention the suffering of other countries destabilized and attacked because of his need to stick his little orange mushroom into every ones affairs.

Trump put it best himself.

He was referring to Iran, but as usual was projecting.

"They haven't paid a high enough price yet".

You and your enablers will be making the down payment on the price you will pay in November.

We will not forgive or forget

Beyond that, any progress depends almost completely on whether the Democratic congress and president have the courage to kill the filibuster and expand the court.

To move as they have is a sure way to cut themselves off at the knees for the midterms.

Strategically you would think they would wait til after the election to do their worst, while still retaining power.

I find this disturbing, and I won't put any theories out there.

I agree totally about the need for the Democratic party to stiffen their resolve when that time comes.

Perhaps a million or more in the streets of DC before that time comes may help them deliver and realize politics as usual is over.
